to Give Democrats a VOICE against

Exposing the Truth

I’m Tracey Verhoeven, running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Georgia’s Congressional District 11 as the REAL Democratic Secretary of State Certified (click here for certification) WRITE-IN candidate. This district covers ALL of Bartow, Gordon, and Pickens counties, along with parts of Cherokee and Cobb counties—key communities like Acworth, Canton, East Cobb, Marietta and Woodstock.

I’m asking for your support as the WRITE-IN Democratic candidate this election. After the primary, it was clear the Democratic candidate, Katy Stamper (formerly Karen Sacandy) is really a MAGA in disguise. The Republican’s redistricting tactics, false election narratives and voter suppression laws have distorted our democracy. On September 8, 2024, the Democratic Party of Georgia historically voted to DISAVOW Katy Stamper as a FAKE candidate and endorse me as the REAL Democrat.

This WRITE-IN campaign is powered by people like you, ready for meaningful change. We’re fighting for our freedom—protecting rights and votes. This 2024 election cycle is a turning point for Georgia to transform our state into a beacon of diversity and progress.

Now is the time to keep Georgia BLUE and ensure every voice is heard. While a WRITE-IN campaign is challenging, you can help us make history and defend the values we hold dear. Join our grassroots movement today!

Empowered to Lead Change for Georgia

I am a small business owner, entrepreneur, mother, and was the caretaker of my own mom until her recent passing. I am committed to working hard for my family. When I was nine years old, my father, a Sacramento County Deputy Sheriff, was killed in the line of duty. His sacrifice instilled in me a deep sense of obligation to serve others and contribute to making our nation better for everyone.

My mother said I came out of the womb wanting to make the world a better place. I’ve fought to improve people’s lives, both in big and small ways—from organizing a boycott in kindergarten because our milk was not properly refrigerated before lunch, to working extensively in political organizing to oppose discriminatory ballot measures and help elect Democrats in key battleground states.

I’ve worked across the country, meeting a diverse array of people thanks to my career. My experience in community organizing, sales and marketing has honed my communication skills and solution-oriented mindset. I’ve also worked in theater, film, and television, where I developed a strong voice and confidence—essential for standing up for constituents and holding those in power accountable.

These experiences have given me a unique perspective, one that I hope to bring to the U.S. House of Representatives. My focus is on making Georgians and all Americans lives better.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. As Americans, we agree more than we disagree so working together will accomplish our goals in the spirit of unity.

What Doing the Right Thing Means

My platform is focused on making life better for all my neighbors and all Georgians, whether you’re going to school like my son, working to build a life for yourself, or retired like my mom!

I am tired of the divisiveness. As Americans, we agree more than we disagree so working together will accomplish our goals in the SPIRIT OF UNITY.

When I ran for a non-partisan seat years ago, I was fortunate to connect with all voters regardless of party. This gave me the opportunity to talk about issues that most Americans agree on.

The main areas I’m focused on are improving our eldercare and childcare systems, enacting reasonable gun safety, reproductive healthcare freedom, bringing back the middle class, climate change and other reforms that most Americans agree on. Click here for more Core Objectives and my Core Values.

Here is how I’m committed to doing the right thing for all Georgians:

Doing the right thing for our elders:

  • Georgia is a leading state for caregiver burnout. I want to implement a tax credit that will provide financial relief to family members who act as caregivers for elderly or disabled relatives.
  • Expand Medicaid to make assisted living and other medical costs more affordable for seniors, especially those who are not fully covered by Medicare.

Doing the right thing for our children:

  • Create incentives and credits that will make childcare more affordable and accessible, especially in rural areas.
  • Fully fund our public school system.
  • Ensure that reasonable waiting periods and other reforms are put in place, along with vulnerable youth outreach programs, to reduce the risk of firearm-related violence in schools.

Doing the right thing for women:

  • Protect women’s freedom for reproductive healthcare access, including the right to choose and the right to life-saving medical procedures.
  • Enact common-sense gun safety measurements that protect domestic violence victims.

Doing the right thing for our climate:

  • Renewable green energy boosts Georgia’s economy by creating jobs while protecting the environment, offering a win-win for both growth and sustainability. Investing in solar and wind technology builds a cleaner future.
  • Advocating for strong climate policies helps Georgia fight climate change, protect natural resources, and ensure a sustainable future for all.

Doing the right thing for all Georgians:

  • According to Gallup, 71% of Americans approve of unions. I would eliminate laws that make it more difficult for workers to unionize in Georgia. Unions played a huge role in the growth of the middle class in the early to mid-20th century.
  • Everyone deserves respect – I would oppose measures that seek to restrict the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ Georgians.
  • Pass red-flag laws to protect everyone including our law enforcement officers from gun violence.
  • Enact policies to incentivize gun safety and responsible storage practices to reduce unintentional deaths by firearm and suicide by firearm incidents.
  • We all deserve affordable healthcare. I would expand Medicaid to provide healthcare coverage to thousands of Georgians who live above the poverty line but still struggle with increasing healthcare expenses.
